Jonathan R. Bauer is an attorney in the law firm Tyree Bauer, PLLC. He is a transactional attorney focusing on general business counseling, estate planning, business formations, commercial real estate transactions, and financing of capital assets, equipment, operating loans, lease financing and other forms of financing. He represents clients from startup and established business entities, corporate tenants, developers, landlords, sellers and lenders. Prior to joining with his current law partner, Tim Tyree, Jon was a partner at the Idaho law firms Hawley Troxell and Meuleman Mollerup. Prior to that, Jon practiced law at an international law firm located in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association and is also licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. Jon Bauer received his Juris Doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. He completed undergraduate studies in economics and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After earning a double major at Washington University, Jon moved to New York City and joined a consumer products marketing company where he eventually became an executive officer. In 1996 Jon started his own business and within two years sold it to his employees.Jon Bauer is very active in the legal and local business community. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Sawtooth Society, an organization whose mission it is to preserve, protect and enhance the Sawtooth Wilderness area in Idaho. Jon has also served on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Botanical Garden and the Idaho Technology Council. In 2018 Jon received the "Leaders in Law" award from the Idaho Business Review and he is a 2009 award recipient of the Idaho Business Review’s “Forty Accomplished Under Forty” program. In 2007 Jon graduated from the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce two-year “Leadership Boise” program which selects only those individuals who display the energy, intelligence, and business acumen to become future leaders of the community.Despite all that, Jon's favorite thing to do is spend time in the mountains and on the rivers with his friends and family.Specialties: BUSINESS LAWESTATE PLANNING REAL ESTATE LAW
