Authorize and keep track of the use of all employee benefit time and grant remote work requests. I also chair weekly department meetings both in-person and over Zoom; reserving meeting rooms, creating agendas, recruiting guest speakers, taking minutes and meeting and communicating with upper management on potential hiring, office structure, and other administrative and operational matters; and represent the office at bi-monthly unit head meetings.

Assist students with reaching their goals, in and out of the classroom by connecting them to campus resources, programs, and opportunities to enhance their academics, promote integration into the campus community, and assist in retention. As of March 2022, I had over 14,000 student interactions, primarily done through classroom presentations, new student and transfer orientations, personal introductions, follow-up phone calls, texts, emails, and referrals. During the same time period, had over 1,000 in-person in-depth meetings discussing student academic, personal, and relationship struggles, finances and scholarships, study tips, goal setting, problem-solving ideas, major exploration, career aspirations, and referring students to student support centers and resources.

Completed the Wayfinder Leadership Training and led both staff and students through a transformative journey. Explored exercises on finding your “why” and delved into topics like identity, values, strengths, mindset, and self-discovery. Reflected on our past experiences, identified strengths, and true purpose. Also focused on building a strong support team and reflecting on our past, present, and future—key elements in personal and professional growth.

Taught the Leadership 4100 Practicum course, a required course for the Leadership Minor in Fall 2019, Spring 2020, Fall 2021, and Spring 2021. Each semester, I prepared course materials, including the practicum guide, syllabus, homework, readings, and the coordination of guest speakers. I also facilitated dialog among students about their experiences and observations at their practicum site and evaluated and graded students’ classwork assignments, papers, and presentations.

Managed the recruitment efforts in the Alpine and Provo School Districts for Fall 2013 University of Utah enrollment and increased the number of applicants by 82% for Alpine and 62% for Provo compared to the previous school year. Additionally, I counseled, advised, and conducted presentations to prospective students and their parents about the University’s admissions process and requirements.

I've worked as a legislative correspondent, grassroots organizer, regional field coordinator, deputy field director, campaign manager, and as a finance director.
