I've been in software/fundraising technology for 25+ years with DonorPerfect, including launching DonorPerfect Online, and decided to create the next generation of fundraising software called SimplyFundraisingCRM.I successfully sold it for a lot, and decided to start two new companies to address real problems: www.chefandbartendfinder.com and www.campscheduling.com. While they are brand new, we already have a ton of clients :)I also volunteer both locally (baseball and youth organizations) and nationally (The Giving USA Foundation and the Association of Fundraising Professionals). From 2006 through January 2020, I was responsible for DonorPerfect, the 100% cloud nonprofit fundraising and crowdfunding software solution that includes WebLink, ReadySetAuction, and DonorPages. I was fortunate to work nearly 25 years at DonorPerfect/SofterWare, which previously provided industry leaders EZ-Care, EZ-Camp, and Computer Resources.DonorPerfect was once the number one ranked donor CRM as measured by NTEN/Idealware, and Gartner Frontrunner Quadrant. And I founded, wrote, sold, supported, and grew our flagship solution, DonorPerfect Online, in the cloud and established a SaaS business in 2001 which grew from $3,000 ARR in 2001 to in excess of $30MM in 2019.I was fortunate to lead these fundraising products with the fantastic help of 200+ smart and energetic colleagues. Together, we developed a solid product roadmap and product vision which enabled our customers to save time and raise more money without sacrificing their integrity or breaking the bank. I have a passion for nonprofits, philanthropy, technology, youth sports leagues, summer camp, and especially baseball leagues at the youth and high school levels. My current goal is to help hospitality workers and owner/establishments to match each other using my AI experience. And to help summer camp directors save time and get their camper's their favorite activities!I'm also still open to consulting opportunities and have relationships with several expert networks, and have helped several private equity companies evaluate (and close) business opportunities > $100mm.If interested, just send me a message- I usually respond within 1 day.

Vice President Donorperfect And Fundraising ProductsSofterware Oct 2005 - Jan 2020Fort Washington, Pa, UsI was the product and managing director for the Fundraising Products Division at SofterWare (including P&L), which includes a portfolio of software solutions DonorPerfect, WebLink, ReadySetAuction, DonorPages, and DPConnect. We helped non profit organizations and non profit consultants raise more money and save time by offering a comprehensive cloud based CRM solution. And unlike other solutions, we've been cloud based since 2001.Serving over 12,000 customers in 30+ countries, the 200+ employees at DonorPerfect help small and medium non profit organizations - as well as large chapter based organizations - raise funds smarter and faster, and with less stress. We have consistently achieved top rated status from independent review organizations, including the recent 2017 Idealware "A Consumer's Guide to Fundraising Databases", where we had the highest rating in 18 of 19 categories. In my role, I defined the overall strategy for the business lines, including the vision, strategies, tactics, business models, goals, and measures. I also prioritized initiatives both in product and across departments. We have been fortunate to grow revenue at an annualized 23% rate per year for the last 10+ years from a meaningful 7 figure base, growing revenue more than 25X in that time frame. My passion is helping non profits, raising my family, helping my community, and getting the right people in the right room to solve some very large problems we all face together. And I like to get things started- I was one of the original founders/partners of the Fundraising Effectiveness Project (2006), the Growth in Giving Initiative (2012), and #GivingTuesday (2012). -
Donorperfect Product ManagerSofterware Jun 2000 - Oct 2005Fort Washington, Pa, UsUsing my background in computer programming, I founded DonorPerfect Online and with Kyoko Nakayama, we both created the original code. After 18 months of coding in VBScript/Microsoft SQL server, we launched DonorPerfect Online on September 1, 2001. Our first client, Futures and Options for Kids, was based in the World Trade Center and needed a cloud based solution on September 15.During the first several years, we rapidly grew, but also hit some growing pains along the way. During that time, I was responsible for the entire product and still had a sales territory, and also had to create all of our processes for billing, data conversion, commission calculations, and delivery.Even today- in 2020- the original monthly SaaS billing program that we use to calculate the monthly fees for *all* of our customers, including the commission payments, discounts, and commission sharing, is still used on a daily basis. I originally created it back in 2002 to handle recurring billing and commissions, and current solutions for SaaS billings still can't replace its functionality and certainly not its low (zero?) cost. -
Account ManagerSofterware Jan 1997 - Jun 2000Fort Washington, Pa, UsI managed a traditional sales territory for software sales for the installed version of DonorPerfect. A 100% commission position, I managed all aspects of the sales process from qualification to closing the sale. I used that sales experience to help launch DonorPerfect Online in 2000-2001. -
Data Conversion ManagerSofterware Oct 1995 - Oct 1997Fort Washington, Pa, UsWhile I started in support, the role lasted only 3 months as the installed version of DonorPerfect was growing. As a result, I started the implementation department and generated a new revenue stream in data conversion sales from $25k to $250k in less than 1 year from the same number of new clients. -
Village DirectorNorth Star Camp For Boys 1991 - Aug 1998Hayward, Wi, UsI was a summer camp counselor at North Star Camp for Boys starting the summer of 1991. Real life 'required' getting a real job, so I worked for Procter & Gamble before and after College graduation in 1994. However, it was my love of camping that led me to SofterWare, makers of DonorPerfect. For the first two years at DonorPerfect, I was able to take summers off, and was a Village/Ass't. Camp Director at North Star in 1996 and 1997. I am interested in pursuing a summer camp of my own one day, but not after we solve some real challenges facing the nonprofit world. For others not affiliated with a camp, please note: As a camp director, no day is 'normal' and the leadership experience at such an early age is a phenomenal opportunity. I would recommend any young adult who has not quite graduated from summer camp to think about taking a leadership role for a year or two at camp as the experience cannot be replicated in the 'real' business world until you are much older. -
Systems AnalystProcter & Gamble Jan 1992 - Oct 1995Cincinnati, Ohio, UsI worked as an Intern and then as a full time Systems Analyst in their Sales Management System area. We supported approximately 6,000 field sales reps across the US. I specialized in planograms and analytics, and helped build a strategy to promote Pringles during PCH week which led to a $6.5 million dollar increase for the brand in just 4 weeks.Procter & Gamble was a fantastic experience, the people were top notch, and it gave me the background, credibility, and wisdom to be successful in business.
