Directed the engineering group at Bear Creek Technologies, a start-up telecommunications technology company, to create innovative products for Regional Bell Operating Companies that generated more than $5 million in revenue while competing with AT&T.TrafficWise Regional Reporting System—Designed distributed software architecture to automate voice network traffic reporting for Regional Bell Operating Companies. Led technical team to implement system using C++, TCP/IP, HTML and Java. Achieved >80% code reuse between server applications running on HP-UX and clients on Microsoft Windows operating systems. TrafficWise Monitor—Designed and implemented a corporate PBX version of the voice network traffic reporting tool. Implemented by reusing C++ code from regional system to run on a single Windows NT workstation.

Designed and implemented a goods trading information system based on an OODBMS and NextStep interface using Common Lisp, C++ and Objective-C. Designed and implemented multi-user fax desktop application to automate communication with commercial fax-broadcast services.Provided mentoring for design aspects of multiple site document management system developed in C++ on a network of UNIX systems.
