PRINCETON UNIVERSITY | PRINCETON, NJProject Manager for new east campus development, Stadium Neighborhood, encompassing 27 acres. In addition to providing state-of the-art athletic & physical plant facilities, the complex creates a new entry presence on the historic eastern boundary with Lake Carnegie. SOM’s role as Master Architect for the site followed Programming and Concept Design for the greater 200-acre development, known as the Meadows Campus. In total, programs include a variety of athletics facilities and fields, graduate student housing, amenities, convening space, academic partnerships, office and administration, and campus operations support.MIT | CAMBRIDGE, MAProject Manager for state-of-the-art computer science building to house the newly formed Schwarzman College of Computing. The approximately 165,000 SF facility is a new destination on the Vassar St. corridor. Looking towards the future of AI engineering, the college and its building will provide a crossroads for the humanities and sciences while supporting interdisciplinary thinking. Two tech wings housing research laboratories are unified by a soaring closed-cavity façade providing abundant daylight to users and a transparent dialog with the community beyond. The wings are joined by a series of open stairs, collaboration spaces, and auditorium to create a dynamic interaction between the research community and visiting public.NYC PUBLIC HEALTH LAB | NEW YORK, NYProject Manager for New York City’s new public health testing facility, designed to be the world’s most advanced metropolitan facility of its kind. The 240,000 SF building includes wet and dry laboratories (BSL2 and BSL3), core labs, support, office, meeting, and administration space, lounges and cafeteria, and an auditorium and training lab (both available for community use). Ground floor areas are designed to enhance public outreach, including educational services and an express testing facility for convenient public walk-in access.

CARTIER | NEW YORK, NYProject Architect for the first major renovation of the landmark Cartier store on Fifth Avenue. The renowned store originally opened in 1917 and consists of two c. 1905 buildings: the Plant Mansion and the Holbrook Townhome. The plan reconfigured approximately 42,000 SF of building interiors converting existing service and office floors into three new levels of retail space. The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission approved a redesign of the storefronts and entrances to better accommodate the new retail plans.

UNITED NATIONS HEADQUARTERS | NEW YORK, NYOver the course of seven years, served as both Project Architect and Historic Preservation Expert for the interior restoration of the complex’s primary spaces, as well as the exterior envelope and landscape. The project – the first comprehensive renovation of the facility since opening in 1952 - included complete replacement of all building systems, hazardous material abatement, and a re-engineered replication of the historic glazed curtain walls and storefronts. Within the 750,000 SF project scope, over 60,000 SF of historic interiors were catalogued, disassembled, restored, and reinstalled in the process to renovate all spaces for contemporary standards of life safety, environmental systems, and AV and data technology.NEW YORK UNIVERSITY | NEW YORK, NYProject Manager for Utilization Analysis and Master Plan for NYU’s 46 academic buildings within the 55-acre urban campus. The study concluded with a cost- driven phased implementation plan including prioritized improvements to the existing building, and identification of new sites for classroom development.UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS AMHERST | AMHERST, MAProject Manager for multi-disciplinary analysis and survey of 1,300-acre main Amherst campus (founded 1863) and over 470 structures, including work by modern architects Bunshaft, Breuer, Stubbins, E.D. Stone, and K. Roche. Historic investigations and statistical analyses performed on 112 buildings constructed prior to 1959, totaling over 2 million gross square feet. Planning included site identification and study for future academic facilities within the historic campus core.

GA PERIMETER COLLEGE NEWTON CAMPUS MASTER PLAN | COVINGTON, GAProject Manager for the Master Plan of the newly-founded Georgia Perimeter College (GPC) Newton Campus. The plan was conceived in coordination with a larger municipal plan for a tract of undeveloped agricultural land. The campus master plan de ned a 100-acre parcel with academic buildings for a target enrollment of 10,000 students, athletic facilities and structured parking. The southern boundary of the campus was de ned by a main commercial thoroughfare to be shared with the community.GA PERIMETER COLLEGE NEW ACADEMIC BUILDING | COVINGTON, GA Following plan approval, served as Project Architect for initial 104,000 SF Academic Building to serve immediate functions for the new campus. The building’s program included faculty and administration offices, classrooms and teaching laboratory facilities, as well as a student services. The building was de ned by a 3-story atrium and a long entrance portico, while maintaining a highly flexible structural, mechanical, and plumbing system for future programmatic configurations following relocation of services to new buildings.UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF GEORGIA | VARIOUS LOCATIONSProject Manager for comprehensive campus planning guidelines developed for the 35- institution Georgia University System. Led multi-disciplinary team including landscape architects, archaeologists, and historians to create 2005 “Guidelines for Campus Historic Preservation,” funded by the J. Paul Getty Foundation’s Campus Heritage Program.From 2004-06, served as project manager for (3) additional Campus Plans at universities within the system. Notably, the planning for Valdosta State University included public design charrettes and creation of Design Guidelines to manage future institutional growth within two distinct National Register Historic Districts.

Project Manager for studies of existing facilities and new sites at 17 specific park units throughout a nine state territory including Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Authored and/or managed more than 20 Historic Structure Reports (HSR) for structures dating from the early 19th to mid-20th century, including four NHLs (Wright Brothers National Memorial Visitor Center, Oakland and Magnolia Plantation Districts, and the Connemara/Carl Sandburg Farm). Following approval by regional and park management, conservation, restoration, and/or rehabilitation designs were, depending on their scale and complexity, further developed internally or managed through external A&E design firms and then contracted for construction. Project sites additionally include: Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site, Fort Jefferson National Monument, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and New Orleans Jazz Historical Park.
