Stinger Medical helped me develop skills that helped me achieve the knowledge and skills that I do today. Working in internal IT you quickly realize that the personal / technical balance is very important when working with colleagues. I was able to improve various technical skills at Stinger Medical. I got to become familiar with corporate / enterprise networking, desktop support, and server administration.

I was at centresource my last semester at Belmont. I loved everything about it from the people to the property. At that time, there were four stages in helping clients obtain a more dynamic, dominant, and effective web presence. The phases were strategy, planning, design, and development. During this time, I observed and assisted them with various tasks to improve internal efficiency and created prototypes for websites, content management systems, blogs, and widgets. I loved this aspect of the job and became familar with software I had never used, Axure RP. While I was there, I was thankful that I got to have some social interaction as well. I got this from attending company lunch-ins to discuss issues regarding to organizational structure/inefficiencies, "lunch and learns" where an issue or new method is explained or clarified, client meetings, and etc. To sum this internship up, it was an extremely valuable and rewarding experience. Through centresource's openness and acceptance of me, got exposure to a work environment similar to what I want to pursue in the future, learned a lot of things that have influenced my career direction, allowed me to apply concepts learned in the classroom to real-life situations, and I met some successful, talented, and intelligent people who not only had me assist them in day to day tasks, but gave me guidance / insight as to what I should do moving forward.

• Organized computer network within the company and taught necessary skills needed to operate software• Backed up important files from their software and restored the files when needed• Derived templates in Excel, Word, In Design, and Reader to improve efficiency of future appraisal deliverables• Designed business cards, signs, letterheads, and other graphical elements

Helped lead a team of 7 individuals located in various cities throughout North America including Toronto, Chicago, New York, Dallas, and Nashville. After competing professionally for many years prior to United 5, My team and I received sponsorship from nVidia, Intel, Asus, Fatality, Icemat, Plantronics and others. While I was co-captain, u5 won the Summer 2004 Cyberathelete Professional League Call of Duty World Championship for $50,000.00.
