Dr. Jon Callegher is Executive Director of Job Talks, a research and media agency that focuses on skilled trades workers. He is also a marketing research professor in the School of Marketing in the Centre for Business at George Brown College. In 2022, he was elected to the GBC Board of Governors and he was re-elected in 2024.Jon has been the Project Director for over $1.5 million in government and industry research projects, including two multi-year Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council grants, focusing on Skilled Trades Careers and Workers with Disabilities respectively. He has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Waterloo.A professional keynote speaker, Jon has discussed his research on radio, TV, and at conferences internationally. He has been published in The Globe and Mail and he is the author of Pearson Canada's standard university and college Marketing Research textbook (1st ed. 2021; 2nd ed. 2024).Jon’s industry expertise is in community/panel construction, recruitment, study design, engagement, moderation, analysis, reporting, sales, and client service.
