In this position I directly support laboratory workers and our partners to safely achieve our shared mission. I rely heavily on SMEs to guide the design and development of training while keeping it consistent with standards defined in our driver documents including DOE O 426.2 and various lab policy documents.Additionally, I chair a joint tri-lateral training group in the goal to focus our efforts and push the mission forward together, in the same direction. This group has opened the channels of communication and strengthened comradery between all involved, allowing for faster and more collaborative efforts to streamline the training requirements for the site.

As part of the Customer Enablement team, my primary job at Viewpoint is creating and updating course materials for our Spectrum software suite; a 100% cloud-based SaaS ERP software solution designed on a SQL platform specifically for construction accounting and project management. Tools I use everyday include Camtasia, Vimeo, and the Articulate 360 suite for designing lessons and instructional content for our e-learning library. I have much experience successfully collaborating with SME's, product managers, and other stakeholders to prepare meaningful and engaging curricula. Additionally, for two and a half years, I facilitated 4-day trainings for the Spectrum ERP each month for customers around the USA both in-person and virtually. Classes consist of new customer implementation teams and new employees of existing customers with varying titles from Staff Accountant to Controllers to C-level executives. Class sizes typically range from 5 to 15 participants.

Software Unlimited is a developer/provider of fund accounting software to school districts in 8 states in the north central plains region. As a software trainer I'm responsible to learn, prepare and teach working professionals how to effectively use our software by conducting in-person workshops as well as interactive webinars and phone training using Adobe Connect software on the different software components as well as specific user topics (i.e. end of fiscal year and end of calendar year accounting activities) for more in-depth reviews of features within the software. Workshop sizes range from 5 to 40 people, webinars have as many as 94 participants, and the phone training sessions are normally one-on-one or with small groups and customized to the customer's needs.As we do service many clients over 8 states travel is a large part of my job a large part of my job description, sometimes requires as much as 3 weeks per month on the road during the busier times of year. Often times we'll drive to a location, setup, teach, and then pack everything up before driving to the next location that same night and setting up all over again. Being a road warrior is most definitely a requirement!In addition to the live training, I also write, record, narrate, edit, and update the video tutorial library with Camtasia video editing software that are then published out to our server for our clients to view; These tutorial videos are typically 3-7 minutes long, but can be up to 45min. I also edit and rewrite instructor notes used while conducting training. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to contribute and use my own judgement and creativity to better our training materials and have my feedback and ideas be implemented.
