I focus on designing creative technical solutions that are efficient, practical, and successful based upon measurable outcomes. I enjoy collaborating with a team of bright, talented, and motivated individuals on innovative solutions to complex, cross-disciplinary, and impactful real-world problems. I enjoy translating state-of-the-art research and theory into well-designed products and services that demonstrate quantitative and qualitative metrics of success.I've been working full-time in AI and GOFAI statistical machine learning for the past decade during which I've mentored over 300 interdisciplinary ML/AI projects across nearly every department on campus including narrative, econometrics, medicine, design, film, security, social media, political science and art. Specific skills have included LLM, multimodal AI, autonomous agents and networks, NLP, databases, Affective AI, storytelling, time series analysis, signal processing, blockchain elliptical encryption, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, network automation, etc. My 2024 research includes benchmarking tabular LLM recidivism prediction for the Notre Dame Tech Ethics lab on an IBM grant, co-authoring an international AI policy and regulation policy ICML paper and serving as tech lead for the 25k member MLA team in the NIST US AI Safety Institute for LLM safety red/blue team testing. I have occupied technical and business roles at all levels. This includes Fortune 500 Director of Development for the largest computer security company to co-founder and CEO of my successfully Silicon Valley startup in privacy and security. I have worked in Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, Education in the US, Japan, and Latin America (fluent in English, Japanese and Spanish). I have researched, published papers and hold patents in gene therapy, semiconductor physics, electronic medical records, network VPNs, AI policy, Affective AI, narrative and AI benchmarking/ethics.Recently, I co-founded the world's first human-centered AI program and AI Lab. I have overseen over three hundred original AI/ML projects using AI/ML, Data Analytics, LLM/GPT, NLP, and Multimodal Sentiment Analysis over the past six years as co-founder of the world's first human-centered AI curriculum. This is a world class center for cross-disciplinary human-centered AI research with 60k downloads from top academic, commercial, and governmental institutions worldwide including Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, CMU, Princeton, Oxford, Amazon, Intel, HP, Starbucks, Kate Spade, and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
