My name is Jonathan Clift, and I am a Project Specialist at PG&E's Diablo Canyon. My job is to perform engineering-related tasks relevant to the plant upgrade projects on which I work. I'm a very hands-on type of person, and I can deliver solid engineering solutions using the experience and skills I have acquired through several years of work experience, and school. As a task specialist at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, I've worked on designing, building, testing, implementing, and installing hardware and software upgrades to critical plant systems. I've worked as the technical team lead on various plant projects. For those projects I was also able to demonstrate my technical writing acumen by creating software test plans, installation plans, and software change packages. As the lead, I was also responsible for creating implementation scripts to help coordinate Security resources. At the plant, I was also responsible for tracking, documenting, and validating software and hardware reliability for mission-critical systems.In my free time, I use Solidworks and Fusion 360 to design parts for my 3D printer and for my CNC router. I like to work on cars, and install high quality sound systems in cars. I'm intimately familiar with test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and dB meters and use them on a daily basis to diagnose and troubleshoot all kind of problems. MY immediate goals are to learn more about embedded systems and CANbus.I'm bilingual (English and Spanish), and earned The Eagle Scout award when I was in the Boy Scouts.
