I lead the development of this strategy leading to the recommendation to create a new RR owned engineering centre in India, combined with a more optimised development of the UK and Global "managed services" supply chain. To achieve acceptance of my proposal I had to change the nature of offload/outsourcing debate within my dept and change how several more senior managers thought and felt about the subject.- I subsequently lead a global cross-functional activity to build and develop a System Design presence a new RR Engineering centre in Bengaluru, India including recruitment, IT infrastructure, training and capability development.
