Oversee the management and maintenance of accreditation of current schools in our portfolio. Acquire and maintain accreditation for new schools through expansion efforts. Develop school improvement plans and strategies to target school deficiencies through needs assessment and root cause analyses. Acquire and maintain NCAA approval and course lists for all managed schools. A-G school network and course list management for all California schools in our portfolio. Work with school leaders in managed portfolio to complete state specific reporting. Stay abreast of current federal laws and regulations with federal monies and examine current trends and future forecasts for educational best practices.

Chairman of the school improvement team and team member for a Title I, Title II, and 34A funding audit by the Michigan Department of Education.Social studies lead teacher for the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) team for student interventions aimed at increasing student achievement through title funded interventionists. Responsible for evaluation of intervention referrals for admission into programs and review of caseloads for interventionists to ensure fidelity of student progression through intervention tiers. Champion teacher of the African American Young Men of Promise initiative focusing on mentoring and interventions of our African American male population. Chairman for committee on school and district cultural proficiency and awareness aimed at institutionalizing cultural awareness for staff and students. Perform live class sessions that are created by using data from assessments including USA Test Prep. Work with social studies department to collect student data to drive curriculum changes and improvements. Continually use the online tools of Blackboard Collaborate, Google products, and online learning management systems. Conduct individual learning plan meetings to ensure students are reaching their potential in every course.

I work with students across Michigan in their pursuit of knowledge and education in History. I work to make sure every student succeeds and is able to perform at their highest ability. I take great pride in my work with each student and family.

Taught history, geography, and government (general education, AP, and IB classrooms). Performed and executed the duties of a full-time teacher for periods of three to six months.

Taught US History, World Geography, and Competition Government. Dealt with students from grades 9-12. Responsible for all duties that accompany that of a full-time teacher.
