For nearly 30 years, I have been honored to be with KDKA-TV. I am "on air" nightly to report governmental, political, economic development, and business-related stories that affect Western Pennsylvania. Over the years, I have had one-on-one interviews with all sorts of complicated & complex politicians like Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan (to name a few). I also host a Sunday morning public affairs segment called "The Sunday Business Page," write and deliver a 60-second segment called "Money Minute," and host a periodic TV show called "Inside PA Politics with Jon Delano." For 25 years I taught graduate students at the H. John Heinz College of Public Policy & Management in courses that included media & public policy, money & politics, legislative policy making, and public policy implementation. Many of these students went on to top positions in government, non-profit, and for-profit organizations, and it is such a great privilege to hear back from so many of them with their kind comments about how helpful they found my courses.

For 14 years I was the senior congressional aide to a Pennsylvania congressman from suburban Pittsburgh, responsible for the operation of two offices at the U.S. Capitol and in Pittsburgh. During that tenure, 1985-1986, I served as the president of the House Chiefs of Staff Association, the non-partisan organization that represented the top aides on Capitol Hill.
