As the Quality Control Supervisor, I lead a team who perform quality reviews on all aspects of the lending lifecycle from origination to collections to charge off, including third party vendor oversight, to identify and reduce risk for the credit union and its members. We recommend changes to Consumer Lending processes to ensure adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk of employee errors, oversights, and malfeasance.My previous role in the credit union was Senior Control Officer, where I led a team focused on reducing delinquency, mitigating losses, and assisting members during times of financial hardship.I also have experience in Documentation, where I was tasked with maintaining all of the forms, letters, procedures, and internal SharePoint websites for the Consumer Lending department. I was part of this 2-person team during the largest rebrand in the credit union's history, in which we needed to update hundreds of different documents to reflect the new name.During my time here, I have earned my CUNA Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification, and spent time in various collections teams gaining proficiency in the areas of credit cards, charge offs, consumer loans (including repossessions and deceased member accounts), and real estate loans, all culminating in my transition to a supervisor within the department.
