Enabled rapid B2B growth and maintained user trust by partnering with security team to achieve SOC2 security certification and implementing table stakes data and consumer protection enhancements. Enhanced brand strength and protected brand by building out IP portfolio and favorably resolving sophisticated regulatory and litigation/prelitigation matters. Negotiated commercial contracts and agreements across a wide range of areas. Flexed into M&A deep diligence and integration, highly sensitive employment and corporate matters, special projects relating to competitive landscape and investigations. While at Via, drove several critical functions to enable B2B and B2C growth as cutting edge transportation technology company expanded from ~300 to ~800 employees and launched in dozens of new cities and countries. Built out team of direct and indirect reports across domestic and international jurisdictions. Key thought and execution partner to exceptional strategy, finance, marketing and ops teams. Co-led data incident response and remediation task force. Directed all aspects of sophisticated prelitigation and litigation docket, including rigorous outside counsel selection and budgeting process. Negotiated contracts and assisted in fund raising due diligence process across various subject matter areas. Managed internal investigations and investigations arising out of the tens of thousands of rides provided on platform each day. Effectively managed and resolved all regulatory matters, whether state, local, federal, or international.
