Clearance: SecretI am responsible for the overall near-term and long-term success of Mission Systems' mobile device strategy. The security of all corporate data is my number one focus and cannot be compromised. My success is measured by the protection of corporate data, actual cost savings achieved and the successful adoption of new solutions and processes providing a measurable ROI. In collaboration with Mission Systems architects, information security personnel, and operations staff I define our strategy, provide direction, assign resources, and review success.

Provide technical direction and resource management to keep new and ongoing projects on track and focused on the high-priority issues at hand. My project management responsibilities range from network architecture and VPN implementations to mobile device and MS Exchange service delivery. Leveraging my extensive network and application experience, I am able to provide direction across a number of IT disciplines.

Orchestrated a complete overhaul of the network architecture and services delivery platforms. Improved network throughput and reliability by more than 10 fold. Introduced network security best practices utilizing layer 7 firewalls, VLANs, and ACL's. Reduced the physical server footprint to less than 1/4th by virtualizing systems and stacking applications where applicable. Introduced VoIP communications which greatly improved the overall value of the telephone and cut costs by more than 50%. Reduced the overall IT spend by more than 50% while providing huge improvements in security, throughput, productivity, and reliability.Fortress Technologies was acquired by General Dynamics in 2013.

Provided full-service IT support across all disciplines. Introduced mobile email, central authentication through Active Directory, MS Exchange, and remote access solutions. Transformed Integra5 from a start-up with an engineer-designed infrastructure into a business with a solid small enterprise-class network and services.Outside of my IT support duties, I also used my strong mechanical design skills to develop a ruggedized, shippable all-in-one platform permitting the sales team to demonstrate the Intagra5 product at trade shows. The entire platform shipped in a single Pelican case and required only power and internet making it simple for even the least experienced sales folks to make it work on the first try.

Managed all IT activities at a global level. Provided network connectivity solutions to tie together Telsima's Boston, Sunnyvale, and Bangalore offices supporting development and operations. Implemented my first VoIP solution using the 3Com NBX platform to cut communications costs. Deployed Dell Blade servers supporting ClearCase/ClearQuest and a distributed build and test environment. Traveled to Bangalore to train the local IT staff and guide them in best practices for deploying the blade server solution, ClearCase, and MS Exchange.

Provided full-service IT support across all layers of the OSI model. Converted Legra's piecemeal network and services systems into a secure, reliable, and manageable network fit for acquisition. Provided support to the product design and QA teams during the development and feature selection phases of product development. Leveraged my wireless networking experience to provide proof-of-concept for new ideas prior to implementing them into the product. Supported the transition of intellectual property from Legra to both NextHop and Fortress Technologies to ensure continuity of the products with the new entities.

After the TranSwitch acquisition, my role became one of further reducing IT operating costs and transitioning IT support to the TranSwitch IT personnel.

Onex was looking to move to the next level. I joined Onex as the IT Manager to replace a small team of IT consultants. My responsibilities included building out a proper NIS authentication infrastructure to support 20+ Sun workstations and servers. In time, I gained support for moving to standard x86 hardware taking advantage of the Linux operating system to replace the Sun solution. This transition proved to reduce chip compilation times by 50% at 1/3 the cost of the Sun MIPS systems. Additional responsibilities included MS Exchange administration, building out a secure Active Directory environment, standardizing workstation builds to reduce support overhead, and getting the software licensing under control. Network, server, and service monitoring became critical leading the deployment of systems for providing 24x7 alerts of any problems crossing set thresholds. Onex Communications was acquired by Transwitch in September 2001.

Took on the role of release engineer. Certified ClearCase administrator. Was later promoted to a sustaining engineering position where I was responsible for bridging the efforts of Nortel's East coast and West coast engineering efforts on the BayStack product family. In this role, I coordinated the day-to-day development and QA assignments and provided direction with regards to priorities based on input from the product management and product support teams.

Provided direction to a group of QA professionals. The group was highly technical and all members had engineering skills that permitted us to use the source code as a basis for quality assurance test plans. As defects were discovered, I was responsible for assigning resources for the next steps required to pinpoint the source of the defects and ensure proper resolution was met in a timely manner. My group was also responsible for the final sign-off of all new firmware images prior to delivery to customers.

Trans-Caucuses Embassy Renovation Project. Clearance: SecretStationed in Tbilisi, Georgia shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union, I was responsible for compiling lists of materials to retrieve from a nearby warehouse each day while managing a dozen or so local Georgian laborers. Other responsibilities included reviewing construction plans to identify tools and supplies with limited quantities to build orders for shipments from the United States, Germany, and Belgium. In times of extreme life support supply shortages, I organized travel to Yerevan, Armenia and Baku, Azerbaijan to buy or trade for needed supplies.
