    Service Manager of the capital’s first pan-London homeless accommodation hub specifically for the use of young people who are sleeping rough, or at immediate risk of homelessness in the capital.The youth homelessness hub is being run as a joint initiative between Depaul UK and New Horizon Youth Centre, in collaboration with the Mayor and London Councils, piloting a new approach to services for young homeless people. It will be run from a 40-bed hotel in west London.The hub offers intensive, wrap-around support from dedicated support workers. Immigration-related advice will be available for those young people who need it. It operates 24-hours a day, with staff working with outreach teams to give young people an escape from the streets, as well as helping those who have been identified as being at risk of sleeping rough through the London Youth Gateway.Once young people enter the hub, support workers will help them with rapid, sustainable moves into longer-term accommodation. They will also receive support to access healthcare, counselling, mentoring, education, family mediation and employment support to help them to build a life off the streets.

    Main Duties- Management of a large team including, three deputy managers, 2 security staff per shift, up to 10 agency staff per shift, a resettlement coordinator and resettlement team, as well as a night team to effectively address the needs of the Clients and check regularly on their health welfare and wellbeing.- The Service was responsible for housing between 50 – 150 rough sleepers, in order to safely social distance during the outbreak, to provide guidance in accessing support services, including immigration-related and resettlement support, so they can leave homelessness for good.- Responsible for coordinating the work of partner and external agencies providing support to the service. This included health, mental health and substance misuse agencies.- Overseeing casework of resident's move on plan, policy and procedural framework to ensure residents' daily and long-term needs are met.- Dealing with all issues as and when they arrive including, behaviour, mental health and wellbeing - concerns, building regulation checks and concerns and staff issues.Key Achievements- Playing a pivotal role in setting up and managing the Emergency Hotel Accommodation (Rough Sleepers Project) amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Including the day-day management of the project, managing staff, volunteers and guests. The project provided rough sleepers with accommodation, three meals a day, access to additional support services, health checks and developing a ‘Move-on’ plan.- Successfully building strong relationships with residents in order to overcome barriers and concerns to help them move away from rough sleeping and into suitable accommodation.- Achieving a vast amount of positive ‘Move-on’ and support opportunities for residents and reaching targets laid out by the governing body.- Provided 18,756 bed nights to those who would have been sleeping rough.

These projects focused on issues affecting young people, ranging from Cyber-bullying, Social media use, and Online Gaming to Body confidence Self-esteem and Social Actions & Community projects.Building and leading a new team responsible for delivery and implementation of projects for youth charity founded in memory of Diana, Princes of Wales.Project Management responsibilities including the development, creation, coordination and completion of projects on time within budget (100k onwards.) and within scope.Providing effective Designated Safeguarding Support to the organisation as a whole, including the review, strategic planning and development of new Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and procedures. Key Achievements:Due to the success of my initial project, the partners agreed to extend the contract from a one year to a three year project, after the initial six months.. Within the first year the project, I exceeded its goal of reaching 3,000 young people within 150 workshops and it was agreed to extend this reach to 10,000 young people over the additional 2 years. I personally mentored staff in establishing individual expectations, fostering creativity and self-motivation by implementing key progress indicators. In addition, introduced Wellness Action Plans for all staff in the organisation. I was awarded an additional title, Head of the National Anti-Bullying Youth Board Programme, recruiting 15 inspiring young people in order to further support their Anti-Bullying work, while providing them with additional opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.All overseen projects have reached over 20,000 young during my three years at the organisations received extremely positive feedback from young people teachers and educators (95% good – excellent).
