The Enterprise Champion provides a central focus and co-ordination point for Lancaster University on the student and graduate enterprise development agenda.Working with departments across campus to provide new opportunities to all our students to develop enterprise and employability skills. The team also provides access to start-up funding, access to business mentoring, organises Business Start-up Boot Camps and provides the driving force for entrepreneurship support at Lancaster University. From September 2013 I will lead this activity but not manage it on a day to day basis.

Enterprise Educators UK has been networking, supporting and developing enterprise education for over 10 years. This national network includes over 800 enterprise educators and practitioners from Higher and Further Education Institutions across the UK. Our purpose is simple - to support our members to increase the scale, scope and effectiveness of enterprise and entrepreneurship education.

A member of the governing body of the school with general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement. This general responsibility gives rise to a wide range of specific responsibilities but in essence the governing body should set the strategy for the school and in turn establish a range of procedures for its delivery.

Supporting technology and knowledge based start-up businesses throughout North and West Lancashire. This was a European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) project to encourage more high growth potential start-ups and to create new jobs in the local area. I not only managed the project but provided hands on mentoring and business coaching to clients of the scheme. The project supported over 100 new start-up companies.
