About Kameron Jones

My passions are rooted in maternal and child health with a range of experience from research to public health programming to education and health-related non-profits. I aim to support improving the quality and access of healthcare to underserved populations, and more specifically reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality in the US. In my current role as a Program Analyst for Reproductive and Maternal Health at the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs, I support the Safer Childbirth Cities Initiative, supported by Merck for Mothers, creating more equitable, respectful, and safer birthing spaces in cities across America. Previously, I have supported maternal mortality review, uplifted local maternal mortality prevention efforts, and research in perinatal mental health, reproductive justice, Indigenous maternal health, and attitudes towards pregnancy and childbirth. In addition to my role at AMCHP, I am an MPH candidate in Maternal-Child Health at The George Washington University Milken Institute of Public Health. Through the FlexMed Program, I have committed to attending the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai after completing my undergraduate degree and master's degree to earn my MD. I envision blending my practice of both medicine and public health rooted in health equity, hopefully continuing to support MCH populations.
