During my career I have:• Led and inspired Relate through a period of wide-ranging and complex transformational change and restructuring focused on creating a financially sustainable and fit for purpose organisation.• Developed the efficiency and effectiveness of senior managers and wider team of nearly 400 (circa 190 FTE).• Chaired and led international Committee meetings comprising of individuals from around the world.• Led the organising committee for the UK’s largest ever showcase of vocational and practical skills; 1,000 competitors; 50+ WorldSkills Member Organisations; 150,000 visitors and participants. Reporting directly to the Chairman; leading a team of 85; managing a budget of £55M.• Devised a £20M Business Plan for the 21st World Scout Jamboree (including a rehearsal event for 10,000 in 2005) using financial modelling to instantly highlight potential implications of variations in participant numbers.• Secured major partnerships (e.g. Sainsbury’s, BAA, Office of Third Sector, Red Cross/Red Crescent, Save the Children, UNICEF,).I have been able to apply my skills, experience, resilience and resourcefulness to the benefit of the organisations I have been fortunate to lead and it’s been a privilege to be at the helm, steering them through challenging times and helping them realise outstanding results.
