My expertise is building from zero to one. For the last 10 years, I've been working at startups in the areas of AI, machine learning, big data, and infrastructure. Since dropping out of the CS Ph.D program at Berkeley, I've been on a journey of designing systems of increasing scope: starting from deep technical problems early in my career, to now building teams and defining product & business strategy.I love to make things that other people think are impossible. In grad school, I published research on automated synthesis of high-perf parallel algorithms (15 years before LLMs). At Mozilla, I created a mobile operating system that was built around the core of the "old, bloated, slow" Firefox desktop browser, that we got running on the lowest-end $30 smartphones. My first startup exited to Apple after pushing the boundaries of deep learning on embedded devices.
