From playing games for fun to making games for a living (and also fun), I am thrilled to start my journey in game design and development. As a Kent State alumni with a BS in Animation Game Design, I’m excited to bring my creative energy and design skills to the gaming world. Till now, my professional journey in game design comprises two internships in animation and game design, which were a part of my bachelor’s coursework. In my stint as an Intern Character Designer and 2D Animator at Team Nemo, I learned the ropes of bringing characters to life, from sketch to screen. My passion for storytelling and art took shape as I wove together various cultural influences into character designs, ensuring each one had its own story to tell. During my time at Pie For Breakfast as a Graphic Design Intern, I turned rough ideas into refined visuals. Whether it was turning a script into a comic book or crafting promotional graphics, I always aimed to blend creativity with clarity. This experience honed my skills in visual storytelling, an essential ingredient in game design. Also, as a part of my coursework, I’ve completed multiple end-to-end game design projects, bringing together everything from level design, character design, and storytelling to computer programming, and my proficiency in Maya, Unity, and Unreal engines. As I step into the professional world, I bring with me a blend of creativity, technical skills, and a deep love for games. I’m all set to contribute to the gaming industry, not just as a designer or developer, but as someone who understands the magic games can create. Let's make games that aren't just played, but loved and remembered! For any collaborations or conversations, you can find me here: graysonmadethis@gmail.com.
