I was assigned to a local branch of a national environmental testing company, and was working in the Gas Chromatography department. The majority of my analyses were based on the EPA 8015 methods, most often 8015 GRO and 8015 DAI, and were run on HP 5890 GC's both with and without purge and trap.I am currently a Lab Analyst in the Wet Chemistry department. Primary analyses include cyanide digestion (EPA 335.4) and am gaining experience with the BOD 5-day analysis. This position was rolled over into full-time permanent at TestAmerica.

I analyzed three basement-depth (200-1200') cores through the Utica Shale and confining members for TOC and depositional features. Detailed logs of all three cores provided accumulation rate insight, while TOC and TIC were used to infer sediment/ organic dilution. The data was compiled into a cross section.
