Community Business Trade Up programme for 2020/21: supporting eight wonderful community businesses from across Cornwall to enhance their business acumen and develop their trading potential. Community Led Local Development Programme for the Coast 2 Coast area of Cornwall. Springboard - supporting individuals and social enterprises less than a year old to grow their business ideas. Focusing on people living in and around Falmouth, Penryn, Truro, Redruth, Pool, Camborne, Illogan and St Day. The programme runs until June 2022 and is fully funded by the EU. The free business support is offered through a mix of workshops and mentoring. We can support people aged 18+ right at the start of exploring their business idea right through to people who have set up a business in the last 12 months. Supporting adult students along their journey to become Forest School Leaders. I originally trained as a Forest School Leader with Nature Workshops, and then became a Mentor to students on the same programme, supporting them with both practical experience and understanding the theory behind the ethos. Two years after qualifying as a Forest School Leader, I now work for Nature Workshops, supporting men and women through the practical and theory assignments required by the Level 3 course, so they can become exceptional outdoor educators, sharing their passion for getting people of all ages outside and back into nature.

As Learning Facilitator for School for Social Entrepreneurs Cornwall (SSE Cornwall), I was part of the team which creates and delivers workshops and programmes for social entrepreneurs across Cornwall to help support their business acumen and enable them to create sustainable social enterprises.Project work:Engine Room 2 Programme: Dec 2015 - Nov 2018 delivering business development workshops and 1:1 support to over 150 pre-start and start up social enterprises based in Cornwall. This is funded through the European Regional Development Programme. Engine Room Project Sept 2013 - March 2015: Funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence Programme, this was a partnership project working with CN4C, RIO and Cornwall College. SSE Cornwall directly supported 22 social enterprises with 12 hours worth of expert business support to enable growth and support sustainabilitySocial Enterprise Focus: Dec 2012 to March 2015. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence Programme, SEF was delivered by Peninsula Enterprises in association with Cornwall School for Social Entrepreneurs. The programme offered social enterprises and social entrepreneurs a range of free peer to peer networking and expert business advice events in locations across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

I assisted local businesses, community groups and individuals to develop projects and helped them bid to the EU, nationally and locally for funding to enable them to be delivered and operate. My successes included a Children's Centre at Malpas Estate in Truro, workspace units at Tresillian Business Park and a restored grade II lychgate building (one of only 2 in Cornwall) for use as a visitor centre and artists workspace. In addition I assisted six Parish Councils and their communities through the Parish Plan process.
