• Monitor progress of small to large residential and commercial land development projects.• Construction monitoring of land development projects including stormwater, sewer system, water installation, vehicle crossings, right of way, services installations e.g. power, gas, telecommunications.• Maintain key relationships with clients, contractors, Suitably Qualified and Experienced Practitioners (SQEP) and local Territorial Authorities (Manawatu District) throughout project lifetime.• Compliance with NZ and local Territorial Authorities (Manawatu District) land development standards. • Certified proficient technician of: Scala penetrometer test – to determine the bearing capacity of subgrade Clegg hammer test – to determine the density of compacted hardfill Hand auger test – to determine subsurface soil properties Shear Vane test – to determine soil strength Nuclear densometer test – to determine and monitor density of soil and compacted pavements.• Interpret and assess soil test results in line with land development standards.• Facilitate remediation actions with contractor and local Territorial Authorities to address soil test results that do not meet land development standards.• Design of stormwater system including managing and reducing runoff e.g. soak pit, attenuation tank.• Verify contractor claims with project progress.• Negotiate contract variations with contractor and conduct due diligence on behalf of the client.•

Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT) civil contracting project to install new piped stormwater installations in Christchurch.• Support Site Foreman with day to day planning;• Analysing and interpreting site plans and preparing location for installation of stormwater pipes;• Operating machinery for stormwater pipe installation;• Constructing temporary canals with Geotextile to divert surface water enabling installation of stormwater pipes.

Commercial and residential scaffolding projects throughout Wellington.• Assisting Project Manager to identify client’s scaffolding requirements;• Implement Health and Safety requirements prior to scaffolding installation;• Installing and dismantling of commercial and residential scaffolding;• Operating trucks to transport scaffold materials to client site;• Maintaining scaffold materials to a high standard.

Building foundations project including piling and retaining walls for Victoria University Gateway Building.• Managing Health and Safety site inductions and Job Safety Environment Analysis (JSEA) for site visitors and sub contractors prior to work commencement including monitoring correct use of Personal Protective Equipment;• Interpreting design plans and utilising Dumpy level to measure pile lengths and place orders for concrete volumes and strength parameters to meet design specifications;• Maintaining spread sheet tracking and monitoring of pile completion; • Maintaining engineering administration including invoices, equipment hire receipts, and near misses accident book;• Conducting Quality Assurance checks of reinforced customised steel to ensure the materials meet design specifications.
