For Eyes is a retail eyewear chain with 150 stores across the US.I led the architecture, development, test, maintenance, and evolution of the EyeMIS enterprise point-of-sale platform, optical management database, managed care platform, business intelligence reporting, interfaces, and other technologies. I collaborated on strategic systems planning and performed the full scope of development in a distributed architecture and incorporating MS Access, SQL, MS SSIS & SSRS, VBA, and other technologies. Achievements:►Building For Eyes’ first POS and optical management system, the company’s core technical platform for 19 years and a highly scalable system from initial concept to go-live, with POS functionality, databases, automated HCPCS and HCFA insurance reporting, and BI reporting.►Attaining high systems availability via disciplined QA, and by streamlining data processing through the automation of SSIS data transfer script-based FTP batch processing.►Leading the development of extensive database functionality in T-SQL. I produced ad-hoc store procedures, functions, and other code that extended system functionality.►Transforming For Eyes’ managed care model via data-driven functionality that automated insurance billing, accelerated revenue cycles, and facilitated millions in incremental collections.►Strengthening executive decision capability through creation of business intelligence visualization tools, using data science, VBA, and Excel to design and build reporting.►Repeatedly driving successful internal change management via leadership on documentation, training, and customer support.►Improving the accuracy of field employee compensation by building integrated commission calculators and reporting incorporating local promotions, pay differentials, and tax structures.►Collaborating on the company transition to a new AcuityLogic POS platform, partnering on analysis, process documentation, systems architecture, data migration, and a phased switchover.

CompScript was a mail-order pharmacy.As a Senior Software Developer, I collaborated on the design and development of an enterprise mail-order pharmacy application and accounting modules in VBA and other Microsoft environments.My key accomplishment in this role was the creation and deployment of an end-to-end billing system used by CompScript’s long-term health care facilities.
