Designed, developed and deployed an integrated service portal providing a service catalogue, a web based virtual infrastructure management and administration site, orchestration and workflow approval framework, service desk and monitoring services.Designed, developed and deployed the Lazu Cloud Identity and Authentication services solution, utilising Active Directory/LDAP, 2 factor authentication and Radius services.Designed and implemented a monitoring (Nimsoft) solution for the FlexPod infrastructure, VMware and application services.

Delivered Red Hat and SUSE Linux SOE Micro designs for the IT Infrastructure Services team to enable a standardized Linux offering for internal consumption on HP Blades and VMware guests.The design encompassed the technical and non-technical design concepts of the Linux SOE including related technologies and platform processes. This included producing a package management and maintenance design, platform extensions design, and subscription management architecture. All designs were validated and deliverables included production ready VM templates and media along with an initial platform extension framework.Delivered a new platform extension framework based on Puppet Enterprise using a configuration data driven (Hiera) design. It was used to enhance the vendor Linux distribution with Telstra’s technical and process requirements. The framework was based on a configuration data driven design. Developed and delivered a Linux High Availability design standard and platform extension based on VERITAS Cluster Server. This enables Telstra to deploy VCS HA applications in a consistent and supportable manor, automated and on-demand.Also delivered an Oracle RAC/GRID DB platform extension that allows for the automatic deployment and configuration of multi-node Oracle RAC/GRID installations on-demand.

Developed Linux (RHEL & SLES) and Oracle Solaris SOE architecture designs describing the logical and physical components. Involved analysis of existing build guides and administration practices from numerous technical teams at architectural, design and operations levels to create technical specifications, delivery time frames and requirements for each of the macro & micro designs. Requirements included the goal of standardizing the virtualisation of Linux and Solaris virtualisation platforms to achieve improved operational efficiencies.Created architectural artifacts for automated UNIX and Linux operating system provisioning from a service catalogue. This involved designing a platform extension framework based on Puppet Enterprise to build specific capabilities on top of a Base Operating Environment (BOE) to enable standardized capabilities across both Linux and Solaris virtualisation platforms.Developed architectural artifacts for centralized Active Directory/UNIX authentication using Quest Authentication Services, including an implementation plan for retrofitting the existing fleet.Created micro designs for patch management for each of the distributions, and a micro design for configuration management.
