Jon advises institutional investors on operationally intensive investments, with particular expertise in managing restructuring and post-restructured companies. He created and led operating partner groups for over twenty years for private equity and credit investors, including senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Icahn, and Elliott. In 2024, Jon launched a boutique advisory firm to support lenders and other investors in change of control transactions.Jon has served as a board member, advisor, or executive to dozens of portfolio companies, focusing on operational engagement, talent management, and effective governance in partnership with management. Roles included President of Icahn Enterprises (NYSE-IEP), CEO of Philip Services Corporation, WestPoint Home, and Viskase; and board member of Aligned Energy, American Casino Entertainment, American Railcar Industries, Contech Engineered Solutions, Crescent Communities, Del Monte, Martinrea Honsel, National Energy Group, PLH Group, Promises Behavioral Health, WIND Hellas, Windstream, Xenith Bankshares, and XO Communications. Earlier in his career, Mr. Weber was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan and a corporate lawyer at Weil. He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
