A prefect is a student leader position that students can apply for and be elected to help manage the students in the dorms, proctor for study halls, and help with students' concerns and needs in the dorms. I learned how to guide and manage a group of people, find a variety of ways to solve interpersonal conflicts, and develop my interpersonal skills on a more professional level throughout the 2 years of being a prefect.-Counseled and assisted a dorm of 32 freshmen who were having trouble acclimating to boarding school, as well as 34 seniors.-Supervised and managed daily 2 hour long study halls either in the library or the dorm to make sure people were being productive during study hall.-Collaborated with the dorm parent to help run the dorm store that supplied drinks, snacks, food, etc. Profit was then used to resupply the store and the rest was given as offering for churches.

In my volunteer work which I participated thrice a year for 4 years, I learned the importance of team and efficiency by working with numerous people to pack thousands of meals. -Collaborated with over 100 volunteers and workers to package over 10,000 meals in less than 6 hours.-Communicated effectively with workers and volunteers to increase teamwork, chemistry, and efficiency and work together as a whole.
