Johannesson joined Creditinfo International GmbH in 2010. He has a unique experience from both diplomacy and business. Following graduation from the London School of Economics and Moscow State University he joined the Icelandic Foreign Service in 1998. He became Deputy Chief of Mission of the Icelandic Embassy in Moscow in 2000 in charge of political affairs, trade and export policy where he oversaw a fourfold increase in Icelandic exports to Russia. Appointed Deputy Chief of Mission to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) in Paris in 2004 with a business focus he co-led the financial reform of the organisation. Having in-depth knowledge of the CIS region and fluent Russian he transferred to business intelligence four years later, working on projects in London before joining Creditinfo International.Currently Jon is the CEO of the Credtinfo’s subsidiary in Ukraine (IBCH) and in 2012 he was elected Chairman of the Board of the Creditinfo’s subsidiary in Kazakhstan (FCB).
