I work as a principal patent engineer. I have involved in patent prosecution, invention harvest, office actions with USPTO interview, patent evaluation for patent purchasing, patent validity search, building up candidate patent lists of LSI and memory technologies, patent licensing, patent purchase, patent management strategy, full-chip reverse engineering, etc.

Korea

I developed general purpose controllers and NAND flash memory controllers such as eMMC, Compact Flash Card, USB memory card, as a project leader of several products of Compact Flash memory card and USB memory card. Also, I contributed to develop a serial memory interface to update the embedded NVM memory of the controllers which became a company standard for lots of controllers with embedded flash memory.

Korea

I developed 4-bit and 8-bit microprocessor for low power and cost effective controllers. I contributed to reduce the power consumption by circuit optimization and release a document of the microprocessor architecture for other engineers. I also developed storage controllers having ARM core and a standard serial memory interface to update the embedded flash memory of the controllers for serial protocol standardization.

I practiced drafting and revising patent applications of Samsung Semiconductor Business Division, and discussed the revision result with several partners of this law firm for three months. The patent applications were related to NAND flash memory operation and LSI package.

I developed a boundary scan Design For Testability (DFT) architecture for 32-bit Complex Instruction Set Computer (CISC) core which was funded by Korean Government. Also, I developed an integer unit having 5-stage single pipeline architecture for 32-bit Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) core which was funded by Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Korea. - 32-bit RISC integer Unit (RTL coding & synthesis, Coding test vectors), funded by ETRI, Korea - Test methodology for A CPU compatible to Pentium Process, Supported by Korean Government (JTAG scan test)
