CurrentI am a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience of treating complex Neurological and Polytrauma clients using manual therapy (Bobath, NET) and technology (FES, NMES, Saeboflex). I am the Clinical Director of PhysioFunction, the UK’s leading independent provider of Private Neurological Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Technology. I am the Commercial Director of PhysioFunction Franchising Ltd. which enables highly-skilled Physiotherapists to start their own private practice or expand an existing practice. The aim is to develop the PhysioFunction clinic network to provide UK wide clinical services.I was one of the key advisors on Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for CEDAR, which is an External Assessment Centre for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), I was one of the authors for the MS Society’s Publication and On-line resource: How to Campaign for Access to FESI contribute as a Physiotherapy Expert to charities including Different Strokes and the Spinal Injury Association in their newsletters and discussion forums. I have delivered presentations on Physiotherapy for Neurological Conditions and Technology for Neurological Rehabilitation at a number of conferences, seminars, educational study days and exhibitions: Primary Care , Naidex FES Education Day, BIRT, Neurodigest,and SIA Legal Study Days, Otto Bock Neurostimulation Academy. I have taught post-graduate therapy skills courses and Technology Skills (FES, NMES, Saeboflex) to Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists across the UK and abroad (Canada, Croatia).I have been preparing medico-legal reports since 1998. I have prepared Quantum reports for Claimants, Defendants and for both parties as a Single Joint Expert. I am a member of the Medico-legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MLACP) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists with an Interest in Neurology (ACPIN).
