The CSO leads efforts to identify and grow opportunities that will advance our core mission to end homelessness. Expand, strengthen, and improve existing processes and programs; covering areas from housing development & preservation, communications, resource development, policy advocacy, organizational planning, and coalition building.

• Secured $9 million dollars in philanthropic and government contracts to build an emergency response program to Covid-19 pandemic, serving 3,000 households in 6 months.• Implemented successful leadership transition of Housing Department, creating tools for institutional knowledge, authored 50-page office manual, transitioned to modern Salesforce database, and doubled productivity of staff with process improvements. • Successfully lobbied County and City Councils for $1 million dollars to expand Rapid Rehousing programs during budget process. • Advised agency on new housing policies and legislative opportunities, influencing the passage of three critical housing laws at the state and local level.

Wellspring Family Services can help homeless families, couples, and individuals living in King County find and maintain stable housing. We will help you explore options for temporary emergency shelter, which could include use of motel vouchers, as we assist you to find and move into stable housing as quickly as possible. Our experienced staff will work with you to understand your needs, develop a realistic plan to help you find the right housing for your family and overcome barriers to housing eligibility, and support you in advocating with landlords. We may be able to provide financial assistance for housing on a limited basis within your overall plan to find and keep housing.

I ran for Seattle City Council at-large Position 8, receiving endorsements from every local paper of record including the Seattle Times, The Stranger, and The Seattle Weekly. I also received endorsements from Council Member Lisa Herbold, Council Member Kshama Sawant, SEIU 6, UAW 4121, and others. Our campaign raised $360,000 from over four thousands unique donors and was the first council candidate to participate in our city's ground breaking Democracy Voucher public financing program. Our campaign recruited over 400 volunteers and knocked on 50,000 doors for voter engagement.

As Outreach Director I recruited community based organizations throughout the state to support the passage of I-1433 to raise the state minimum wage and pass paid sick and safe leave for all Washington workers. The initiative won with over 60% of the vote, positively impacting the lives of over 1 million workers. I also supported the signature gathering effort to qualify the initiative for the ballot, and as the top signature gather I personally collected over 3,000 signatures.

As a first time candidate for Seattle City Council at-large Position 8 I received 45% of the general vote, endorsed by The Stranger, Council Member Nick Licata, Former Mayor Mike McGuinn, SEIU 6, Tree PAC, and many others.

As Executive Director I was in charge of fundraising, human resources, policy advocacy, community outreach, governmental relations, contract compliance and grant reporting. I supervised a staff of nine housing counselors and community organizers across two statewide offices in Seattle and Spokane, and coordinated a group of 10-15 Board Directors.

As a Housing Counselor my duties included offering rental and move-in financial assistance to homeless or at-risk households facing eviction, providing in depth information on landlord-tenant laws, and resource referrals. I represented the agency on the Public Policy Committee for the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance as lead on housing related legislation and policy advocacy.
