I have a Masters degree in Systems Engineering and Information Systems from the University of Agder. My thesis discussed the challenges of adopting a Service Oriented Architecture in Specialist Healthcare. During the last 33 years I have worked in a variety of different roles; Product Specialist, Systems Engineer, Consultant, Advisor, R&D Director, Integration Architect, Security Architect and Enterprise Architect in the IT Consulting/Vendor sector. I have worked continuously the last 18 years on projects within the Norwegian healthcare sector at both the National, Regional and Hospital level. My healthcare related experience includes focusing on establishing an EA practice, Architecture Governance, Enterprise Portfolio Management and ICT strategy. I have achieved TOGAF 9 certification and experienced the significant challenges of etablishing an EA Practice and pragmatic adoption of this framework in the context of one of the largest Public organizations in Norway.My experience within healthcare also includes establishing Building Blocks supporting Digital Collaboration processes between Primary and Specialist healthcare. One of the ABB's established was a SAML 2.x based Identity Federation infrastructure which supports Web Single Sign-on and Web Services for a large organization.I have dedicated time since the year 2000 to specializing in Digital Process Automation including experience with facilitating process workshops, and working with technologies such as Troux, ARIS, Qualiware, Visual Enterprise, Sonic, Seebyond, Ultimus and Pega.As a Systems Engineer I had 10 years of hands-on experience in development of Client/Server and Web solutions including integration technologies and standards.My professional philosophy has always been and is, to ensure simplification and standardization of an already complex IT workplace, making sure that IT supports the organization’s business processes in the most effective and user friendly manner possible.
