Oct 2022 I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. It was so aggressive that my records where sent to Mayo for peer review. Also having had open heart surgery, Rheumatoid Arthritis and diabetes, all issues that do not play well together. By the spring, it was clear that I was not going to survive for long. My body was not handling the chemo and radiation well. But God's path is not dependent on what we think our path is. I am still here. Still fighting the fight, through His guiding hands. "Healing" takes many different forms. The vast number of people, that have been and are on this path with me are all there, purposefully. Just as you, now, are. A few of you know some, a couple know more. But here is "The Rest of the Story". Well, at least 2000 characters of it... The WHY, yes there is more. We were foster parents for about 7 years. Now have 2 girls, sisters, we adopted and have been with us for 5 years. One of my missions is to get baseball cards into the hands of as many kiddos in foster care possible. This is where Cards For The Kingdom came into play. God lead. Over 300,000 cards have been donated, so far. And I do not want to stop until each kiddo, in foster care with various agencies has access to these cards. I know some kids are not really into sports... I do care that they, at least one time in their life have the opportunity to, hold them... read the back. And also get something from someone wants to share with them. Maybe, just maybe get a couple minutes of break away from the crappy place they have been forced into. I have a, not so, secret weapon... a calling to complete a Spirit lead, purpose filled mission. Praise God and His son Jesus Christ for their never-ending grace, love and mercy.
