Teaching my course curriculum for numerous courses including Digital Design, Project Management, Agile, Graphic Communications, Website Design, Digital Publishing, and Digital PhotographyDigital Design and Graphic Communications courses focus on the fundamentals of graphic design theories and introducing technical practices through the Adobe CC Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Projects and assignments are grounded with intense research through moodboards, personal exploration, creative briefs, numerous critiques, with emphasis on communication in and outside of class. Photography courses range from introductory courses with camera mechanics to advanced lighting techniques. Students work with DSLR cameras and become heavily integrated into digital photography and post-process editing techniques. Web Graphic Design courses focus on Interactive Design, Adobe XD, HTML5/CSS3, Wireframing, Mobile App Design and Development, with an emphasis on User Experience Design.Responsible for student retention and providing students a well-rounded base in which they can learn more about potential opportunities in design focused creative fields.

I teach students the art of communication through print and multimedia design. Beginning with the introductory classes, I assist students through their track in ITT and help them develop themselves as functional designers and visual artists. I hosted up to 3 workshops quarterly on campus for additional learning opportunities for students. I helped improve student communications with the department chair through the use of online media which increased student retention by 50%. Partnering with Career Services, we brought outside consultants to support graduating students in Portfolio course.Assisted Career Services with on-site employment functions; we brought in 30+ local businesses and working professionals for conferences regarding employment opportunities and to discuss growing market trends.Worked with the Pittsburgh AIGA to create student interest in their organization and Design Portfolio Shows, 50% of my visual communications students participated in events after graduation.
