In 2017 I took a position within Amazon as a warehouse worker. I spent 6 years with Amazon and I have promoted from within the company to:Lead teams of 10 - 35 associates, create building plans, perform audits on shifts, train associates, and am now in the recruiting field. Amazon has been a series very diverse work experiences and positions and has made the core Leadership Principles of Amazon how I make everyday decisions at the workplace.Recruiting has brought me to realize that giving jobs to people has been extremely rewarding. Just knowing the fact that instead of selling something and taking money, I am giving the opportunity for someone to make money and help them provide for their family. Helping others realize their dreams has helped shape me as a person and as a leader.I then moved to managing quality for a night shift team within an Amazon FC for a new and growing business line Merch by Amazon. It was a fun and ever changing environment that presented many opportunities to improve on processes and push the team to go further nightly and achieve new goals, setting records for building productivity and delivering on customer promises.I then moved to launch the Robotics program at the KCVG Amazon Air site in Erlanger, KY. In this role I mentored 3-7 associates daily in managing the flow of the robotics floor with over a thousand drive units, the timely assigning and clearing of chute jams, and 4 conveyance systems. I promoted 4 associates while in this role to help better serve them and the company.My last position within Amazon was as a Staffing Coordinator with Amazon where I was the POC for most day to day items in our Monroe recruiting office. I organized hiring events onsite and offsite, conducted drug tests and ensure they were sent to a testing facility in a timely fashion. Additionally, I organized events at colleges and high schools for talent acquisition for hourly warehouse jobs, onboarded seasonal associates to assist the team when labor demands were high, and lead our candidate generation for the Militarty and PwD spaces as well as cover half of the internal referral space.I now work as a Sales Consultant at Joseph VW as I wanted to further develop my communication skills, work more closely with the public, and help provide and almost necessary service to the area. Providing people with vehicles helps them to continue their lives and work. Finding the right car is always a fun experience and providing product knowledge makes sure the customer can fully enjoy their ride as they move into their next chapter of their life!
