Inspect and permit food establishments, public swimming pools, and liquid waste systems according to New Mexico statutes (regulations). Food establishments include restaurants, mobile units, and temporary establishments. Swimming pools include Classes A, B. C, D, and E. Liquid waste includes septic, alternative treatment systems (ATS), and graywater systems.

* Ensure site compliance to governing documents including Conditional Use Permit, State Executed Land Lease, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, Dust Control Plan, Weed Management Plan, Pest Management Plan, Bird and Bat Conservation Strategy, Archaeological Plan, Paleontological Plan and Biological Monitoring and Reporting Plan.* Research, interpret, and communicate to First Solar site management the environmental regulations specific to the construction industry in California and New Mexico. * Monitor and report compliance issues and corrective actions to site management. * Conduct and upload site compliance audits using iForm on iPad. * Report site environmental compliance deficiencies online in the Intelex reporting system. * Upload site governing documents in Intelex. * Write environmental compliance reports required by governing documents and submit to government agencies via Document Control. * Register and manage First Solar's off road heavy equipment fleet within CAL EPA's Diesel Off-road On-line Reporting System (DOORS). * Conduct site Worker Environmental Awareness Program training.

* Assist the New Mexico State Climatologist in soil sample collection, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation. * Convey soil science concepts and their relevance to graduate level climatology students.* Teach introductory soil science lab and lead field trips.* Research revegetation of mine lands.

* Independently conducted soil survey work on public and private lands. * Mapped 100,000 acres during two field seasons.* Utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in field mapping and product development.

* Performed lab analyses on soil, water, and vegetation samples according to EPA and internal methods, including total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, total solids, volatile solids, pH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, percent moisture/solids, ammonia content, total Kjeldahl nitrogen, total coliform, paint filter liquids, odor, and color.* Reported test results promptly to project management to ensure client environmental compliance.
