Accomplishments• Key member of a technical team that met time and budget goals while executing Oyster Bayou Field Unit CO2 flood. Unit went from producing 100 BOPD to over 7000 BOPD and currently nearing 7 million CO2 BO. • Architect of the phase 2 where well spacing and placement was based on formation analysis and mapped sand channels, which were validated by data from 25 new wells. Results exceeded economic projections by 150%.• Saved Denbury over $2 million in phase 2 drilling program by eliminating a string of casing. With facts, I convinced management the risk of shallow gas was non-existent. Also stopped a proposed directional program yielding cost savings on all operations in the now vertical wells. • Formulated a comprehensive field wide formation evaluation plan for each of the phases of drilling Oyster Bayou to achieve good data distribution at low cost; including a whole core, increasing the certainty of reservoir characterization. • Initiated a mentoring program taking new engineers and geologists to the wellsite to understand how open-hole logging should be managed to control costs, operation risks, safety, and data quality. • Part of a team that defended Denbury Conroe Unit from having hazardous waste disposal well in unit. Generated original exhibits with clear testimony at the hearings with the TECQ and the Texas RRC, resulting in Texcom being denied.

Dallas

Applied geological or petrophysical skills sets to projects as directed by exploration manager. Accomplishments• Worked on properties in the Uinta basin in Utah. Elevated their play from statistical to targeted by correlating production to petrophysical facies.• Started a regional petrophysical evaluation of the Niobrara. Accelerated the process by multiple tech doing different steps in log analysis routine. • Involved in evaluation of the New Albany Shale play in Kentucky including wellsite supervision of logging and core acquisition. Coordinated the analysis of the whole core.

Dallas

Initiated economic action on existing properties, mainly thru workovers or infield drilling. Had to be self-directed team members and managers were in Houston or Austin. Performed all the wellsite duties during open-hole evaluation for the team. Accomplishments• Developed a ranked workover spreadsheet for all wells in area of responsibility in NE Brooks Co. Texas. Reviewed with team showing supporting documentation. Caused two wells to be drilled with 50% economic success in south Texas.

Wynn Crosby Energy, Weinman Geoscience & Others

Worked for clients to make geologic maps, seismic interpretation, or log analysis in their offices on their workstations. Wynn Crosby and Weinman Geoscience were my principal clients.Accomplishments• Drilled a 200 BOPD well in the Franklin Unit of the Sho-Vel-Tum Field in the Ardmore Basin in Oklahoma for Wynn Crosby. This doubled the production of the mature waterflood. I figured out the complex faulting in a thrust setting and there was no takeout point for oil being banked against two intersecting faults.• Successfully marketed my exploration idea that Wynn Crosby promoted, yet they kept no working interest. Also convinced Burlington Resources to assume Wynn Crosby’s WI while a well was drilling in exchange for ORRI. Negotiated the same for partners willing to let me represent them.

Dallas

Worked in asset team setting doing all the normal functions of a geoscientist. Geophysical interpretation was done on landmark UNIX platform. Accomplishments• Responsible for Martinville field in Mississippi over complex salt dome. Identified drillsites and workovers thru the integration of a 3-D survey with geological and petrophysical data. The team increased daily average production from 400 BOE to 2000 BOE. Discovered a new Wash Fred reservoir, previously unrecognized, that added over 1 MMBO conventional recoverable reserves. • Selected to work on the international Tunisia team because of my operational and formation evaluation expertise. • Promoted to team leader of the Oklahoma Ardmore Basin team. Met the company challenge to find gas prospects in oil prone basin. Drilled 3 wells with a combined IP over 6 MMCFD.
