My current role is classic intrapreneurship. I am working with our great team to start and scale the clean hydrogen production business at Invenergy, where we are especially focused on “hard to abate” customers in the heavy transportation / fuels, chemical, and steel industries. I have also focused on attracting early stage, high-potential companies to co-locate their project sites with our wind and solar developments. As technologies and business models evolve, I expect that we will enable several FOAK (First-of-a-Kind) projects for our customers and partners.I have always tried to move the needle on challenging, high impact problems. I began my career in what is now called Deep Tech (Nanotechnology/MEMS) but soon pivoted to a broad range of traditional energy infrastructure projects, including coal, natural gas, wind, solar, hydrogen, and T&D. I now actively bridge these two worlds, developing financeable energy projects that appropriately incorporate and derisk various emerging technologies and business models.Throughout my career, I have led teams and organizations to address the energy transition in multiple sectors - electric utilities, gas utilities, heavy industry, transportation, commercial buildings, and institutional. My approach connects the dots across my global relationships and broad experience in Projects, Products, and Public Policy. I have built a 25-year track record across the entire pathway that an idea follows from earliest concept to full execution:-Public Policy Analysis and Advocacy-Engineering Research & Development-Technology Transfer/Licensing -Product Development-Product Manufacturing-Project Development-Community Engagement-Sales and Business Development-Project Finance-Project Management-Project Construction and Commissioning -Plant OperationsPlease reach out if you’d like to discuss.

Public Policy InternWashington Internships For Students Of Engineering (Wise) May 2000 - Aug 2000As an undergraduate engineering student, I worked in IEEE-USA's DC office to analyze federal funding for US nanotechnology R&D. I conducted interviews with Hill and agency staffers, as well as public and private sector leaders around the US. WISE accelerated my interest in the ways that both domestic government partnerships and international coalitions can influence technical outcomes. I have applied this perspective to my thinking ever since.
