I'm always looking to form new partnerships in the arts community. Supporting each other and making new connections is key to fostering a thriving local scene.Born and raised in Ottawa, I have over 20 years of experience working in event management, volunteer coordination and office administration. My superior organizational skills allow me to stay on top of all aspects of an event - staff, artists, volunteers, transportation, production, scheduling, contracts, venues, volunteers, marketing, timeline, budget, etc. to ensure it runs smoothly. I am deeply passionate about supporting and engaging with the arts community. The responsibility of building a safe, inclusive, professional and fun environment is one I take very seriously.I stayed home with my 3 children for 10 years, during which time I volunteered extensively. I consider myself to be a community builder and have helped coordinate many local events/activities including the Lumiere Festival, Solstice Stroll, Wildcats Soccer, and numerous children’s craft and play groups. I was also very involved in my kids' school where I helped out with fundraisers and ran the popular Rockcliffe Park Book Fair (one of Ontario's largest used book sales) for many years. I am a driven and passionate leader with an incredible work ethic - always demonstrating my tenacity and positive can-do attitude. I enjoy new challenges, am a quick study, take pride in everything that I do and am a true team player. As a huge fan of Ottawa's diverse cultural scene, my down time is often spent taking my children to museums, art galleries and attending local music, family & theatre events. I love to travel, cook & host wine tastings. A few of my favourite things include a gripping mystery novel, a relaxing weekend at the cottage, G&Ts, baking some of my famous treats for family & friends, and huge belly laughs.
