Femili PNG is a local NGO operating case management centres in Lae, Port Moresby and Goroka, assisting survivors of family and sexual violence, child abuse and sorcery-accusation related violence. In my role as the Communications & Fundraising Officer with Femili PNG, I have been performing the following activities;• Production of newsletters, IEC and promotional materials• Created and standardized awareness messages• Monitor external communications / attend to queries (info/recruitment email, website, social media)• Create content for publication (online/mainstream media/in-house print)• Establish/maintain relationship with mainstream media, partners, donors, others.• Liaise with stakeholders and organise activities such as meetings/events.• Monitor daily media and advice on reactive media opportunities.• Update media tracking of Femili PNG mentions in mainstream media.• Create and update internal and external contacts directory for organisation• Provide monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports • Organize and assist in organizing fundraising events for the organization.• Produced ‘stop violence’ merchandise and other activities for fundraising and awareness.• Provide support and supervision to Outreach Department (two officers)• Coordinate and organise meetings for Femili PNG with partners.• Prepare and advertise vacancies in newspapers, website and social media• Participated in staff recruitment - shortlist applicants, participated in interviews (when necessary)• Prepare staff work IDs• Created 2018 annual calendar for the Morobe Family and Sexual Violence Action Committee (2018) and Femili PNG’s 2021 wall calendar and distributed to staff and partners.
