Connections. I'm constantly seeking ways to make them, use them and understand the world through them. I'm not just talking about connections with people, although those are integral in my life and profession, but connections between the earth and humanity, our food and our health, nature and our souls. As a kid growing up on a farm, I've always been connected to nature and to animals. From an early age, I was instilled with a strong work ethic, responsibility and the ability to make and create advantages from connections. That upbringing laid the groundwork for over 30 years of growth and advancement as a sales and marketing professional.I currently have the privilege of leading the marketing and communications team as a member of senior management at Percival Scientific. I thrive on the productive energy that comes from connecting people in a team environment while fostering individual skills and encouraging creative input. I also serve as a sounding board, a consultant and an ambassador of positive workplace culture. I am thoughtful, decisive, dependable and willing to stand up for the right cause.For the past 20 years at Percival, I've loved connecting with other departments on collaborative teams to achieve our common goals: innovative product designs, more efficient and effective processes, adaptive marketing strategies and continuous profitable growth. My role has been key in the global product expansion we've seen during this time, and we now sell in all 50 states and 80 countries.But what's most rewarding about my work at Percival is being a part of what researchers around the world are doing to improve important aspects of our lives - whether it's the natural environment, food production or medical treatments. It's exhilarating to learn how our products allow great minds to make new connections in so many areas of science.I'm fueled by connections, and I plan on building them, learning from them and being open to where they take me for as long as I possibly can.
