Green-AL “Supporting Environmental Civil Society Organizations 2024 – 2027” is financed by:Sida (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) and implemented by:Co-PLAN, Institute for Habitat Development (leading partner)VIS Albania (Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo)COSV (Coordinamento delle Organizzazioni per il Servizio)The project aims to expand on the knowledge, insight and achievements of Green-AL “Empower Grass-Root CSOs for Improved Innovative Environmental Protection in Albania”, while directing its focus into the further empowerment of CSOs in Albania, towards tackling three main themes: Climate, Pollution and Nature.Its main objective is to nurture and further empower Albanian environmental CSOs for effective participation and contribution vis a vie EU acquis and negotiations processes in Albania, as well as proactively contribute to address, through advocacy, policy-influencing and evidence-based data monitoring, the environmental challenges from local to national levels.To achieve this, Green-AL partners will focus on 3 main pillars:(i) Further strengthening the role of environmental CSOs in Albania.(ii) Increasing synergies among the CSOs sector in Albania through the establishment of a CSOs Network (iii) Contributing to an increased awareness and accountability regarding the three key environmental themes of Green-AL.

Project Officer/Team Leader, "Lakes of Albania" Project: promotion of sustainable and responsible tourism models for the inclusive development of communities.Lakes of Albania ( Laghi d’Albania) is an AICS funded 3 year Project aiming to promote innovative models of sustainable and responsible tourism in the areas related to the two main lakes of Albania – Lake Shkoder and Lake Pogradec/Ohrid – as opposed to models of invasive tourism and development in strong expansion throughout the Albanian territory, in order to contribute to the inclusive economic growth of Albania.COSV – Coordinamento delle Organizzazioni del Servizio Volontario is an organization with a legal personality, established in Italy in 1968, engaged in carrying out development interventions and humanitarian aid in Europe, the Balkans, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. Peace, respect for human rights, and environmental protection are the main pillars on which COSV action is focused, pursuing a comprehensive development approach, coordinating with local communities and establishing strategic partnerships and networking.

Green Adventure Into Albania (GAIA) is an Albanian company providing Destination Management Services and Responsible Travel Concept aimed at promoting sustainable tourism. From this perspective, GAIA prioritises smaller realities and even the most remote areas where creating opportunities for small communities to engage in the tourism without losing the tradition. At the heart of GAIA’s project is the environmental integrity and people's awareness to orient themselves within the local market, the two basic concept of the "Local Experience" movement. The tourist packages are mainly gastronomic, ecological and adventurous tours through small local realities. To make it possible, GAIA complements its core activities with the organisation of training modules aimed to increase the delivering capacity and quality of services provided by farmers and in-field promotional events (e.g. fairs or traditional local holidays). Gaia’s professional resources cumulate 20 years of experience in the management and implementation of projects addressing the protection, conservation and the promotion of the territory, the tourism, the rural development and the capacity building of public and private entities. In such a context, advanced skills were acquired in project resources management, gathering of information, data capture and analysis, preparation of documents such as strategies, evaluation and activity reports, technical documents, scientific publications, project fiches and proposals.
