I am a freelance Chartered Engineer, and Technical Manager and Lecturer at Birmingham City University. I lead a team of engineers and technicians in delivering high-quality teaching and research outcomes. I have over 30 years of experience in engineering design, build, and commissioning of industrial and special purpose automation machinery and consumer equipment, as well as in running a successful online and physical business with sales of over £10M.I have a passion for sharing my experience, expertise, and knowledge with others. I create and deliver new content and courses, both online and face to face, on topics such as sensors, controls, electronics, software, and mechanical systems integration. I also produce technical documents, such as chartered engineer reports, technical reports for insurance and legal purposes, and safety and approval requirements for new products. I enjoy learning about new design and manufacturing technology, and finding new applications for traditional and emerging technologies.I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience of engineering around the world especially in the field of machines and controls to improve their productivity, efficiency and performance.
