I am a Master of Science (Tech.) from Aalto University Mechanical Engineering department with major in Aeronautical Engineering and minors in Product Development and Industrial Engineering. My interest is to create value to R&D by solving problems that require knowledge in statistics, simulations & algorithms combined with programming skills in Python or Matlab and data visualization techniques. My strength is in continuous improvement in terms of engineering-related skills as well as communicating "hard to grasp" ideas and solutions in a simplified and tangible way to different stakeholders. For instance, working in KONE's ropes and hoisting team, I have been developing and performing rope simulations for high-rise elevators which has enabled the team to obtain improved cost efficiency by optimizing safety margins and increasing component lifetime by reducing fatigue due to better component selection decisions. Furthermore, based on simulation results ride comfort improvements also have been made as well as reducing waste by setting approriate targets for optimal manufacturing quality.I have been working in the Hoisting Mechanics Unit at KONE R&D department for 6+ years focusing on various tasks ranging from:• Developing predictive maintenance algorithms with Python for predicting elevator component lifetime based on sensor data aimed to be used as a solution for KONE's 24/7 Connected Services for predictive maintenances.• Developing and performing elevator simulations with Matlab.• Solving optimization problems related to specific elevator components with Matlab and Python.• Performing in-depth data analysis and visualizations with Python (with typical tools to work with numerical data such as numpy, pandas, scipy, matplotlib and plotly). For instance, created internal KONE visualization/dashboard web app with Dash + Plotly that reads data from PostgreSQL database.• Data post-processing automation with Python for elevator laboratory test equipment measurements.• Creating prototypes with 3DCAD (Creo) as well as developing 2D drawings and implementing the design changes to Windchill and PDM.
