I am a highly motived and dedicated youth work professional with over 18 years experience in developing strategic services and activities for young people within the faith, voluntary and charitable sectors.Since 1999 I have been involved in a variety of face-to-face work with young people and families in award-winning community-based projects. I specialised in creative activities to engage disadvantaged and socially isolated young people in a deprived area.I currently have strategic and directional oversight for the various services at a large community church including our Community Centre, Nursery, Coffee Shop and youth activities. I have developed programmes, managed teams of workers and volunteers, set and maintained budgets, run training courses, organised overseas trips and residentials, and led teams of volunteers to run large youth programmes at national events. I have also done a variety of research and consultation work on behalf of other agencies.I graduated with a 1st in Informal & Community Education after 6 years of part-time self-motivated study, and have subsequently tutored part-time with the YMCA George Williams College. In addition, I chaired a national steering group of youth workers and managers for The Rank Foundation and am involved in various other groups and organisations across the UK.
