CurrentJon is a senior film editor from São Paulo, Brazil.He has worked for film production companies in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Sofia, Los Angeles and Berlin, where he lived for 6 years.His work has been on streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, and also major film festivals such as Sundance, Berlinale, Venice Film Festival.With over 16 years of experience in the film industry and working professionally in film editing since 2008, Jon has a background in the filmmaking process that goes beyond the editing room. From working with screenwriters to producing visual effects, he is also used to assisting directors in their decisions as early as the shooting stage.With a background in audio production, he sees sound work as fundamental to reach a good quality of an audiovisual edit. In 2012 he completed a post-graduate degree in Audio Production and Engineering at the SAE Institute in Berlin.Telling good stories is his passion and a purpose that will always guide his filmmaking career.
