Localizing, testing and implementing changes to the website, driving traffic to the website through paid advertising, sending out newsletters and other mailings, writing press releases, creating sales assets, organizing events, and the list goes on. It's a diverse role where I am the bridge between sales and marketing and a spider in the marketing web.

XD Design is the proud designer and producer of the Bobby Anti-Theft Backpacks. Their goal is to offer safe and convenient backpacks that make people feel more secure and relaxed when they're on the move, so they can enjoy their trips and travels even more without having to worry about their belongings.The Dutch start-up became known worldwide since their successful 2016 Kickstarter campaign where they reached millions of people and the first fans were born.Being a first mover, XD Design patented the innovative products and is now growing fast globally. And that is where I come in...Together with a small group of young and ambitious colleagues, I am responsible for reaching new markets and growing sales by marketing the innovative Bobby Anti-Theft Backpack online.It all starts with a good product you believe in. By providing feedback on NPD's I also have a say in the final product, which, in a way, makes it your own.It can be quite challenging to get your foot in the door of online marketplaces and it can be even harder to grow sales on these platforms, all with their own rules, unfamiliar cultures and languages.To get things done you really have to pull all levers and involve every department, both internally and externally, in setting up a solid technical structure.From there on, the focus lies on making sure all content is SEO optimized before attempting any SEA activities. Next to search related activities, you also have to align product and store visuals with brand guidelines, which are a big part of your branding of course. On the whole, having a lot of freedom and responsibility makes this a fun challenge!

Iglo is the leader in the frozen food category in the Netherlands. Their mission is to offer meal solutions that are quick and convenient in order to help consumers eat healthy more easily. Iglo is especially known for their spinach and fish (fingers), but also offers a variety of innovative ready meals as a first mover initiative. With a young and motivated team of twenty, Iglo is an ambitious and evergrowing business!As a full member of the team, I helped create, brief and execute online campaigns, where, next to the brand managers and marketing manager, many different parties were involved: from our design agency and legal department to digital executives in central Nomad Foods Group.Among other things, I was responsible for updating the website using a CMS and assisting with our YouTube efforts, collaborating with our SEO/SEA consultants and creative agency, from whom I learned a great deal. Moreover, I've supported the marketing team with NPD's and sampling activities. All in all, actively developing and improving the brand and its visibility!
