I 'm a 35-year ("seasoned") professional in the Architectural World - mostly at the high-pressure, technical and project management end of things. I've been at the Director level for several firms. It's been rewarding...but - I 'm also an artist in an Architect's body. My left brain is highly developed - rigorously organized and full of data. My right brain is engaged in creating art, relationships with creative people, leadership and teaching.When I'm not at technical / design work, my right-brain runs wild. I need it to, in order to have some kind of balance in my life. I write, compose poetry, read extensively, perform storytelling, make art (pen-and-ink and watercolor); my greatest love is music (composing and performing). I love all things Irish.I 'm involved with First Nations teachings, traditional (some say shamanistic) ways, sweat lodges, being part of the landscape, and being prayerful. I care very much about the planet, and am actively engaged in doing something about what we're doing to it.I am a certified Co-Leader in the ManKind Project, an educational non-profit organization the leads men to their hearts (and into balance) through an intense initiatory experience we call the New Warrior Training Adventure, and continuous self-awareness practice in community with other men.. This work has taught me to be a leader in my life.What I want is to live a life of joy and passion, utilizing both brains to the fullest.
